Without a doubt at some point an evil AI will exist, but maybe it's only a real problem if it's the first one.
99.999% of humans aren't evil. The small percentage that would have no problem harming others are controlled by legal systems, police etc. So there's a way to control them ( mostly).
Humans aren't capable of fighting an evil AI with an IQ that's off the charts, but other good AI's will be. So the way I see it, as long as the first one isn't evil, things will hopefully be fine 😬
I can see that point, and I don't believe we're necessarily doomed, I do believe we are not sure how to create an AI that's good - so we may or may not. I don't think we'll stop trying, and maybe we shouldn't, as it will give others the opportunity to get an edge and create something evil. A part of me wishes we did, since there's no redoing mistakes in that scenario, it's hard to contain a super smart hacker who lives on the internet 🫠
